Daily Itinerary

Pick up from your hotel around 7:30 and drive to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This excursion crosses the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, Africa's highest. As you descend, the landscape shifts to semi-arid desert, showcasing Kasbah architecture with turreted buildings, grilled windows, and soft peach walls, all made of adobe to suit the southern climate. After the Tichka pass, take a side road to the ruins of Telouet Kasbah, once owned by the Glaoui family, before enjoying lunch at Ait Ben Haddou along the newly paved road. In the afternoon, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a former fortress on the old Salt Road caravan routes, historically significant for trade in slaves, gold, ivory, and salt.
