Toubkal Summit Circuit: Hidden Trails for a Summer Adventure

Embark on an unforgettable journey as you conquer the majestic Mount Toubkal, following enchanting trails that remain blissfully untouched by the crowds. This unique trek will lead you past the breathtaking Tamsoult waterfall and up to the stunning Agulzim summit, standing tall at 3700m. Experience a captivating circuit around Toubkal, exploring a distinct and more intriguing trekking path that unveils the natural beauty of Morocco. Please note, this extraordinary adventure is exclusively available during the summer months, as the winter months cloak the region in a serene blanket of snow.

MARRAKECH - IMLIL - AZIIB TAMSOULT 2250 m

After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your Hotel or Riad and depart Imlil for Refuge Azib Tamsoult. Leaving Imlil, we traverse walnut and cherry orchards, ascending the Mizane Valley before crossing the Tizi Mzik pass (2489m) for lunch. The trail then gradually leads to Azib Tamsoult (2400m), our campsite for the night. Total walking time is 4 hours.

REFUGE 2250 M AZIB TAMSOULT – AGULZIM PEAK – REFUGE TOUBKAL 3207 M

Today is our acclimatization day. We depart camp early, aiming for the summit of Aglzim (3500m). After enjoying the breathtaking views of the High Atlas from the top, we'll descend to camp in the Mizane Valley (3206m) at the base of Mount Toubkal, arriving in the late afternoon. Total walking time: 6 hours.

REFUGE TOUBKAL CLIMB - MARRAKECH

We set out early to summit Jebel Toukbal (4167m), the highest peak in Northern Africa. Our route ascends the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. While the walk is generally straightforward, the scree and altitude can pose challenges. The views along the way are rewarding, and the summit offers breathtaking vistas in all directions—from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas Mountains in the north and the Anti-Atlas and Sahara to the south. We will retrace our steps down the mountain and return to Imlil for our transfer back to Marrakech. Approx 9 hours walking.
