MT TOUBKAL CLIMB: 3-Day Adventure Experience

Day One: Marrakech to Imlil (1740m) then to Toubkal Refuge (3207m).

You will be picked up from your hotel in Marrakech around 8:00 am. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you'll drive south through gorges and high passes to the Berber town of Imlil (1740m). After leaving the vehicle, enjoy a refreshing glass of mint tea at our gite d'etape before embarking on a 4 km hike to the Berber villages of Aremd (1843m), Taourirt, and Targa Imoula. We’ll stop in Aremd to explore this unique village, built on a large moraine spur in the Assif Ait Maizane Valley. Next, we’ll continue to Sidi Chamharouch, a charming Berber village by a waterfall and stream, where we’ll have a picnic with views of the majestic Jbel Toubkal (4167m), the highest peak in the Maghreb. Finally, we’ll make our way to our overnight accommodation at the Toubkal Refuge.

Day Two: Toubkal Refuge 3207m – Mt Toubkal 4167m – Toubkal Refuge

Begin the day with a climb to the highest peak in North Africa at 4,167m. Descend via the south Circuit in a straightforward 2 to 3 hours back to the Refuge. In the afternoon, enjoy a gentle hike southeast to the head of the Assif Ait Maizane valley and Tizi n O'unoums. When ready, return to our overnight accommodation at the Toubkal Refuge.

Day Three: Refuge Toubkal to Imlil to Marrakech

Begin the day by climbing North Africa's highest peak at 4167m. Descend via the south Circuit in a straightforward 2 to 3 hours back to the Refuge for lunch, then walk down to Imlil for the transfer back to Marrakech.
