8-Day Sahara Trekking Adventure: Oasis & Draa Valley Exploration

Embark on an unforgettable journey through the enchanting Moroccan Sahara, where the allure of Berber kasbahs, expansive sand dunes, and majestic camels await your discovery. As night falls, the Sahara transforms into a realm of inspiration, offering an atmosphere that is crisp, clear, and invigorating. The stars twinkle overhead, so vivid and near that they seem within reach, while the profound silence envelops you, creating a captivating sense of serenity that is simply unparalleled.

Day One: Arrive in Marrakech.

Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your hotel in the city center. Spend the afternoon exploring Marrakech.

Day Two: Marrakech to Zagora.

Transfer to Zagora by minibus or 4WD (based on group size). Overnight at a hotel. 7.5-hour drive.

Day Three: Dunes and Oasis of Lalla Kébira - Oasis Foum Taqqat.

Today we begin our trek. In the morning, we load the camels and set off to oasis Foum Taqqat. We pass Beni Ali and have lunch at another oasis before continuing to our campsite at sunset. Walking time: 5h30.

Day Four: Oasis Foum Taqqat to Ksar Ait Isfoul.

Trek to Ksar Ait Isfoul, passing Nesrate Dunes. Camp overnight. Walking time: 5h30.

Day Five: Oasis and Nesrate Dunes - Tidiri Dunes.

After exploring the various sand dunes, we head to Tidri. We have lunch under the trees at Tamares near Zaouiat Sidi Saleh, and in the evening, we reach the less-visited dunes of Tidri. Walking time: 5h.

Day Six: Tidiri Dunes - Erg Lihoudi Dunes.

We rise early to watch the dawn on the dunes of Tidri. Throughout the day, we walk past the Oasis and Regabi dunes, arriving at the Erg Lihoudi dunes late in the afternoon. Walking time: 6 hours.

Day Seven: Erg Lihoudi Dunes - Village Mhamid or Oulad Driss (no camel) - Marrakesh.

The final leg of the trek traverses stunning desert landscapes and a vast plateau of small dunes. Before we know it, we arrive at the Regaga dunes and then Mhamid, marking the trek's conclusion. We then drive along the Draa valley to Zagora before transferring to Marrakech. Walking time: 3h.
