4-Day Trek to Mount Toubkal Summit

Embark on an unforgettable 4-day adventure as you ascend the majestic Mount Toubkal via a breathtaking circular route through the enchanting Azzaden Valley. Along the way, you'll pass the serene Refuge Azib Tamsoult, immersing yourself in the stunning landscapes of the Toubkal Massif. To ensure your body acclimatizes perfectly, you'll conquer the Agelzim peak before making your grand ascent to the summit of Mt Toubkal on the third day.

Day One: Marrakech - Imlil - Tizi Mzik - Azib Tamsoult

You will be picked up from your hotel in Marrakech around 8:00 am. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, drive south through gorges and high passes to the Berber town of Imlil (1740m). Here, we’ll leave our vehicle for a refreshing glass of mint tea at our guesthouse before embarking on a 5-hour hike to Azib Tamsoult Refuge via Tizi Mzik Pass, where stunning views of the Berber valleys await. Overnight at a cozy Refuge in Tamsoult. 5h walk.

Day Two: Azib Tamsoult Refuge (2250m) – Tizi n'Aguelzim Pass (3600m) – Refuge Toubkal (3207m)

Today features a challenging ascent from the Azzaden Valley to the Toubkal refuge via the Aguelzim mountain pass at 3600 m. Enjoy lunch with stunning views of the Atlas mountain range. Spend the night in the Toubkal refuge (Neltner Hut), likely sharing a bunk room with fellow trekkers preparing to summit Toubkal early the next day. Total walking time is 6 hours.

Day Three: Refuge Toubkal 3207m – Toubkal Summit 4167m – Refuge – Aremd Village 1900m.

Rise early for the ascent of Mt Toubkal (4,167 m) to enjoy stunning views of the High Atlas mountains and the Sahara desert. Then, embark on a long descent past the refuge and along the familiar path back to Aremd village, where you'll spend the night at a comfortable lodge. Expect a 7 to 8-hour trek.

Day Four: Aremd village (1900m) - Imlil (1740m) - Marrakech.

After breakfast, take a 30-minute walk to Imlil valley, where you'll be picked up for a 1.5-hour drive back to Marrakech.
